Round Number Two!!

Hi {name}!

Well done to the paddlers who took on the Prescient Freedom Paddle yesterday. As a surfski paddler there can be no more awesome way to spend Freedom Day than paddling around Robben Island.

This weekend we are amped for the second race of our winter series - the Point Watersport Marine Race 2:

Many of you have already entered the series. If you missed Race One and plan on paddling the rest of the series, entering the series makes good sense as you get R50 off each race entry, the cool series t-shirt, you can win series prize money, and, of course entry into the luck draw at the end of the series for the Point Watersport Single Surfski, an Orca paddle, a WATT Lifejacket, a Vaikobi sun-protection rashvest and a braai/potjie stand from Ken's Steel Fabrications.

I must make an earnest and serious appeal to every paddler. Race One was very closely monitored by a number of different authorities, so we have to be 100% compliant with all the CSA-negotiated Covid protocols. You have to pre-enter, go through the screening process on the beach, and wear your mask till just before you get onto the water.

A big thank you to the Opus team that has made a huge difference to our capacity to carry out the pre-race Covid screening!

The KNCU race protocols also apply. You CANNOT pitch up and take part in the race without entering or checking in before the race. PFD compliance is another not-negotiable, but thankfully almost everyone is PFD-legal!

Sunday looks like it is going to be a beaut morning. See you at Marine !
